Why is the cleaner paid seperately?
By paying the cleaner directly, there is no VAT on the cleaner's salary, no agency running payroll, no tax or national insurance to pay on the cleaner's salary as the cleaner is self employed and there is no written Health and Safety policy (legally required of all companies employing more than 5 people). This makes life easier for all.
What if something goes wrong?
In the rare event that a cleaner fails to turn up and you request a replacement cleaner and the even rarer event that the Agency takes more than 4 working days to allocate you a new cleaner, you can claim a credit note for that week. We have, on average, 150 carefully vetted cleaners per area. To claim your credit note, simply send a copy of the completed Worker Earnings Receipt form, with the times missed, to the Agency.
What about employment law obligations?
Relax! Because the cleaners are self employed, you are not liable for their taxes, national insurance or employers liability. The Agency has a first class advice service for this and other cleaning related matters and is happy to discuss any queries that you might have.
